Salsa

It is originated in CUBA. It is generally associated with the salsa music style, although it may be utilised under other types of Latin American music

Salsa is normally a partner dance where the dancers dance individually and a round dance form "Rueda de Casino where multiple couples exchange partners in a circle. Salsa can be improvised or performed with a set routine.

Salsa is a popular social dance throughout Latin America as well as in North America, Europe, Australia, and some countries in Asia and the Middle East.

The word, Salsa, means sauce denoting a "hot" flavor. The dance structure is largely associated with hip movement & its helps work the back muscles & to get lower body in shape. It is pattern of six steps danced over eight counts of music


Jive

Jive is one of the five International Latin dances. It is originated in the United States from African-Americans in the early 1930s.

Jive and East Coast Swing share many figures, as well as the same music style and tempo. The basic look and feel of Jive is lots and lots of energy, with the legs portraying a pumping action

Jive is a very happy, boppy, energetic dance, with plenty of knee-lifting, bending, and rocking of the hips. The fastest of the Latin dances, Jive incorporates lots of kicks and flicks, even twirling of the woman, and doesn't move around the dance floor like other dances. Although Jive dancers may appear to be moving their feet haphazardly in every direction, the feet are actually well-controlled under the body with the knees close together.


Tango

Tango is originated in South America

Tango is usually performed by a man and a woman, expressing an element of romance in their synchronized movements. Originally, the tango was performed only by women, but once it spread into Argentina, it developed into a dance for couples. The popularity of the tango has greatly increased over the years. Argentine Tango is much more intimate than Modern Tango, and is well-suited to dancing in small settings. Argentine Tango retains the intimacy of the original dance.


 

HIP HOP

The history of hip-hop dance encompasses the people and events since the 1970s that have contributed to the development of the early hip-hop dance styles of uprock, breaking, locking, popping, and boogaloo. Uprock and breaking were created by Black and Latino Americans in New York City. Locking, popping, and boogaloo—collectively referred to as the funk styles—were created by Black Americans in California. All these dance styles are different stylistically. They share common ground in their music and street origins, and in their improvisational nature.


MJ style

Michael Joseph Jackson was an American recording artist, entertainer, Often referred to as the King of Pop, or by his initials MJ, Jackson is recognized as the most successful entertainer of all time by Guinness World Records. His contributions to music, dance, and fashion, along with a much-publicized personal life, made him a global figure in popular culture for over four decades

Through stage and video performances, Jackson popularized a number of complicated dance techniques, such as the robot and the moonwalk, to which he gave the name. His distinctive sound and style has influenced numerous hip hop, post-disco, contemporary R&B, pop and rock artists.

BOLLYWOOD

Bollywood is the informal term popularly used for the Hindi-language film industry based in Mumbai (Bombay), Maharashtra, India. The term is often incorrectly used to refer to the whole of Indian cinema; however, it is only a part of the total Indian film industry, which includes other production centers producing films in multiple languages. Bollywood is the largest film producer in India and one of the largest centers of film production in the world.

Bollywood is formally referred to as Hindi cinema. There has been a growing presence of Indian English in dialogue and songs as well. It is common to see films that feature dialogue with English words (also known as Hinglish), phrases, or even whole sentences.

It is a mixture of numerous styles. These styles include belly-dancing, kathak, Indian folk, Western popular, and "modern", jazz, and even Western erotic dancing

Bollywood films must have song and dance, so it is reasonable to look into the styles of these dance forms. It turns out that this does not tell us much, because of the large number of dance styles that have been enfolded into it. Furthermore, Bollywood dancing has changed tremendously over the years.


MODERN CONTEMPORARY

It’s originated in North America. Contemporary dance emerged in the 1950s as the dance form that is combining the modern dance elements and the classical ballet elements

Contemporary dance is officially the name given to a series of dance styles including modern dance.

Contemporary dance is not associated with specific dance techniques, but in this dance, people attempt to explore the natural energy and emotions of their bodies to produce dances which are often very personal. Concept
